Windermere Village, Haisthorpe is a former gentleman's residence built in
1897 now tastefully converted into a guest house, small hotel, offering bed
and breakfast accommodation.
It is situated in a secluded area of Windermere in England's Lake District
(Cumbria, UK) yet is only a few minutes walk from the village centre and the
train / coach station.
Haisthorpe guest house in Windermere, offers a high standard of Bed & Breakfast accommodation and makes an ideal base for touring and walking holidays.
We also offer free use of Parklands Country Club a nearby private leisure club for guests staying with us, offering pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, squash, badminton, bar and snooker facilities.
Here
at 'Haisthorpe' it is our aim is to provide the highest standards of service
and comfort in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. We offer double,
twin and family accommodation, also rooms for that special occasion
including a 4 poster and one with a double Jacuzzi bath.
All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished and are non-smoking, all are en-suite, one has an large corner Jacuzzi bath for those special occasions.
All rooms have colour television, radio alarms, hair dryer and hospitality
tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits.
In
the mornings you can help yourself to our breakfast buffet which consists of
cereals, grapefruit, Yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea or a cafetiere of
fresh coffee. You can follow this with the full English breakfast, all our
bacon and sausage is supplied by WOODALLS of Walberthwaite who have their
own herd of humanely reared animals, we also use fresh free range eggs. If
you prefer you can have a vegetarian breakfast or a lighter continental
breakfast and finish with a choice of toast made with our home made bread
and served with homemade marmalade and honey.
In 2001 we were awarded
'Cumbria Culinary Heritage' which is awarded to establishments using locally
sourced or homemade products.
We will also be delighted to advise you of restaurants within easy walking
distance to give you an opportunity to sample the excellent cuisine
available in Windermere.

place of interest in Cumbria all listed by area, we also have daily listings
of special events and organized walks taking place in Cumbria.
We have a large selection of walks for all areas of the 'Lake District'
available for guests to borrow, these leaflets have a map with detailed
instructions and places of interest around the route.
We accept Visa and M.C. credit cards Delta and Switch debit cards, unlike
most establishments in this area we do not charge a commission for credit
card use. We also accept U.K. cheques and sterling travellers cheques, we
can also cash travellers cheques with no commission charges.
